Sweeteners
People are realizing that refined sugars are not the healthiest way to add sweetness to a recipe. You can get a number of different natural sweeteners and sugar substitutes that are much better choices than artificial sweeteners. And as usual, most of our natural sweeteners are organic.
- Stevia – powdered or liquid extract (flavours too)
- Xylitol
- Erithrytol and monkfruit (Swerve brand)
- Coconut sugar
- Date sugar
- Organic cane sugar
- Agave syrup
- Coconut nectar
Some brands also come in little single-serve packets so you can sweeten up your coffee (or tea) when on the go.
